Genova will host the final phase of the prestigious Italian Cadet and Youth Championship from 24th to 26th May 2024. This event represents one of the most important moments in the official calendar of the Italian Fencing Federation.
The competition, considered the second most important at a national level after the Campionati Italiani Assoluti,, will see the participation of the best 650 young athletes, divided into the three disciplines of foil, epee and saber, both male and female. These talented fencers, aged between 14 and 20, won the right to compete in the finals after intense qualifying competitions.
The Championships will award a total of 12 national titles, of which 6 reserved for the Cadet category (Under 17) and the same number for the Youth category (Under 20). The winners of these prestigious medals will represent Italy in international competitions, raising the name of our country high on the world fencing stage.
For Genova, this event represents not only an important showcase for young local talents, but also a launching opportunity in view of the next Absolute European Championships scheduled for June 2025. The city is therefore preparing to enthusiastically welcome athletes, enthusiasts and fencing lovers from all over the country for three days of exciting challenges and high-level sporting entertainment.
