In 1992, a serious work accident forced him into two years of rehabilitation. The most important people in his career are the coaches who have guided him, starting with Stefano Melegari. He is registered with Sportiva Murcarolo, a club where he began rowing after practicing track and field, and triathlon, achieving excellent international results. In Pararowing, he qualified for the Tokyo 2021 Paralympics in the double sculls, and in the following two years, he became the world runner-up in the single sculls.
